Next Meeting: Wednesday, May 16

Please join us for our next monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 16 at the Clearview Golf Course at 7:30pm.

Candidate Night: Speakers will be George Maragos for U.S. Senate, Stephen Labate for Congressional 3rd, Dan Halloran for Congressional 6th and Joe Cocannon for NY Senate 11th. With Memorial Day appraoching candidates will be asked to discuss their views on public funding and education relating to Memorial Day Parades. This meeting will focus on each candidate presenting their views and needs relating to the 2012 Elections.

With Memorial Day approaching, we will be asking the candidates to speak briefly about funding and support for Memorial Day Parades. We will be honored to have a Candidate who has served in Iraq, and we are also honored that several of our club members are Veterans also.
US Senate Candidate George Maragos will run in the June 26 primary against Congressman Bob Turner and attorney Wendy Long.

Councilman Dan Halloran is a member of the club and represents us in the 19th Council District.

Stephen Labate is a business executive, Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserves and veteran of the Iraq War. He has been called to activity duty three times since 9-11.

Joe Cocannon is a retired police officer residing in the Bellerose area of the 11th Senate District. Joe is eager to challenge Senator Avella and win back a seat held for 38 years by Senator Frank Padavan.

After the meeting, a cash bar is available so people can mingle and discuss issues. We are encouraging as many Republicans, Conservatives, Moderates, and Independents to attend as possible. The club keeps adding new members on a monthly basis.
